Ms Sue Monsen is an Associate Lecturer Level A in the School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences at The University of Queensland, part of the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences. She holds a Bachelor degree from The University of Queensland. Monsen is an affiliate of the Centre for Sport and Society. She is available for higher degree research supervision. In addition, she contributes to the school's diversity, equity, and safety efforts as a UQ Ally. Monsen serves as course coordinator for education courses including EDUC2011 and EDUC2010, and as Professional Experience Coordinator in teacher education contexts.
Monsen's publications include the 2015 book chapter 'Peer-mentoring and the power dynamics of the HPETE triadic relationship,' co-authored with Louise McCuaig and Simone Hare, published on pages 127-135 in Mentoring in physical education and sports coaching, edited by Fiona C. Chambers, Routledge, London, United Kingdom, DOI 10.4324/9781315797687-14. She also co-authored the 2009 conference paper 'Physical activity facilitators: Policy fusion?,' with Doune Macdonald, Peter Hay, Rebecca Abbott, and Louise McCuaig, presented at the AARE International Education Research Conference, Inspiring Innovative Research in Education, held in Canberra ACT from 29 November to 3 December 2009, published by AARE Inc., Coldstream, Vic. Monsen was involved in the funded project 'Healthy transition navigators: Fostering students' learning and wellbeing to promote positive post-secondary transitions into higher education learning environments,' supported by Education Horizon open grant from 2018 to 2020.
