Suzy Keene is the Senior Training Adviser in the Human Resources Division at the University of Otago. She is a member of the Organisational Development team, supporting learning and development for professional staff across the university. Her role involves delivering and coordinating training programs, including key initiatives such as professional development for women in general staff positions and the 'The First 100 Days of a Manager' program. Suzy Keene served as Conference Chair for the University of Otago Professional Staff Conference held on 31 August and 1 September 2022, working with the Learning and Development team committee comprising Don Townsend, Heather Day, David Hood, and Ralph Miller. She delivered the keynote speech at the CDANZ Otago/Southland Annual General Meeting on 27 April 2022 at 5:50 PM, presenting on designing and planning face-to-face and online careers workshops. Her keynote covered adult learning principles through interactive exercises, translating principles to workshop design, tips for building connection and engagement in face-to-face workshops, tips for online workshops, and strategies for improvement. Additionally, Suzy Keene has appeared as a guest speaker in the MANT345 Strategic Human Resource Management course in the Department of Management at the University of Otago. As an experienced Learning and Development Professional, she contributes to various staff training efforts at the university.
