Prof. Tahseen Anwer Arshi is the Interim Dean of the School of Business, Associate Provost for Research and Sustainability, Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Director of the AURAK Center for Entrepreneurship (ACE) at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK). He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the University of Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wollongong in Australia. Prof. Arshi holds certifications in Sustainability from Johns Hopkins University and Duke University, advanced artificial intelligence certifications from Stanford University, certification as an Entrepreneurship Educator from the SME Development Fund, and certification in technology entrepreneurship from the Harvard Online program. Before joining AURAK, he held senior leadership positions in higher education institutions in Oman, including as Director of Studies at Majan University College.
Prof. Arshi has published over 50 journal articles and book chapters, several in Scopus Q1 journals, and has chaired two international conferences. He serves as an associate editor and reviewer for several prestigious journals and is an external reviewer for the Directorate of Higher Education Reviews Authority in Bahrain, the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA), and the National Academic Accreditation and Evaluation in Saudi Arabia. He holds several patents, notably the AI-powered SECURE system designed to assist start-ups in evaluating business plans. His research interests include entrepreneurial behavior, technology start-ups, start-up business models, and innovation. As a member of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) and Data Central, Prof. Arshi contributes significantly to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in the academic and business communities.
