Tana-Lee Henare serves as the Divisional HR Manager within the Human Resources Division at the University of Otago. Holding a Bachelor of Applied Management (BAppMgt) from Otago Polytechnic, she provides expert HR advice and support to key executives, including the Pro-Vice-Chancellor Sciences, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), Division Management Team, and staff across the Sciences Division. She also manages HR for the Corporate and Service Divisions. Her responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum of human resources functions tailored to the needs of academic and professional staff in these areas.
Henare has been associated with the University of Otago since at least 2019, when she was listed as an HR Adviser (Promotions and Remuneration) in the Human Resources Division, according to the 2019 University Calendar. She advanced to her current senior role, recognized as Sciences Division HR Senior Manager during the opening of the new Science Divisional Office in July 2022. Additionally, she is part of the Healthy Campus staff support team, addressing workplace issues for university personnel.
