Timothy DeGroot is an Associate Professor of Management in the Department of Management at Cleveland State University's Monte Ahuja College of Business. He earned his Ph.D. in Management, with a specialization in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior (HR/OB), from the University of Florida in 1997. His dissertation, titled 'The Impact of Managerial Nonverbal Cues on the Reactions of Subordinates,' examined leadership communication dynamics. DeGroot also holds an M.B.A. from Florida State University. Since joining Cleveland State University, he has maintained an active research presence from 1998 through 2023, aligning his teaching with his scholarly pursuits in the management discipline.
