About Tippawan

Professor Tippawan Lorsuwannarat, Ph.D., serves as President of the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) in Thailand, holding the position for her first term from 2022 to 2024. She is a Professor in Public Administration affiliated with NIDA's Graduate School of Public Administration. Her academic background includes a Ph.D. in Administrative Studies from York University, Canada; an M.E.S. in Information Management from York University, Canada; a Diploma in Managerial Control and Management Information System from the Research Institute for Management Science (RVB), the Netherlands; an M.P.A. in Public Policy from NIDA; and a B.A. in Economics from Thammasat University, Thailand. Her areas of expertise encompass modern organization, modern management, public budgeting, public governance, and organizational innovation.

Throughout her career at NIDA, Professor Lorsuwannarat has occupied key leadership roles, including Dean of the Graduate School of Public Administration, President of the Faculty Senate from 2015 to 2017, Director of the International Doctoral Program in Governance and Development from 2017 to 2018, Director of the Doctoral Program in Public Administration from 2015 to 2016, and Chair of the International Doctoral Program in Development Administration and Doctor of Public Administration Committees from 2009 to 2012. Her scholarly contributions include publications such as 'Spatial Differences in the Founding Pattern of Nongovernmental Organizations and Not-for-Profit Companies' (2022, co-authored with K.C. Dipendra), 'Knowledge Transfer Effectiveness of University-Industry Alliances' published in the International Journal of Organizational Analysis, 'Public Participation in Budgeting: The New Path of Budget Reform in Thailand,' and 'The Development Path to a Knowledge-based Society: Experiences from Finland' (2009). As President, she has overseen NIDA's international collaborations, including memoranda of understanding with institutions in China, Spain, and other countries, focusing on AI, education, and development administration.
