Rate My Professor Tom Henderson

Henderson has a background in clinical laboratory work, serving as Charge Technologist in the Microbiology Laboratory at Medlab South, Christchurch, as documented in 1999 professional publications. He contributed to research in infectious disease diagnostics, co-authoring the 2013 paper 'Systematic application of multiplex PCR enhances the detection of bacteria, parasites and viruses in stool samples' in the Journal of Infection. The study assessed a multiplex PCR assay on 615 stool samples from gastroenteritis patients, revealing additional detections in 5.5% of cases compared to conventional testing, highlighting its clinical utility. He has also been acknowledged for laboratory support in a 2001 New Zealand Medical Journal project on diagnostic methods.
