Academic Background: Three Master’s degrees in various fields of education; studied Spanish literature and Portuguese at the University of Florida.

Research Interests: English as a Second Language (ESL), English for native speakers, Spanish language instruction, and cross-cultural education.

Appointments: Professor of English as a Second Language (ESL) at Valencia College since 2004; previously taught at the University of Seville, Spain (1990–1993) and Indiana University, Bloomington (10 years).
