Vuvan's research focuses on improving the management of persistent musculoskeletal pain conditions, such as tendinopathies, and elucidating the mechanisms underlying their chronicity. Her PhD investigated factors contributing to pain, disability, and chronicity in lateral elbow tendinopathy, with additional explorations into Achilles tendinopathy, patellar tendinopathy, plantar fasciopathy, and whiplash-associated disorders. Notable publications include 'Development of a core outcome set for lateral elbow tendinopathy (COS-LET) using best available evidence and an international consensus process' (2022), 'ICON 2020—International Scientific Tendinopathy Symposium Consensus: A scoping review of psychological and psychosocial constructs and outcome measures reported in tendinopathy clinical trials' (2022), 'A combined program of education plus exercise versus general advice for ankle osteoarthritis: a feasibility randomised controlled trial' (2024), 'Implementing Good Life with osteoArthritis from Denmark (GLA:D®) in Australian public hospitals.
