Dr. Vithya Ganesan serves as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation, Vaddeswaram, Andhra Pradesh, India. She earned her PhD in Computer Science from Anna University, Chennai, between 2010 and 2016. With more than 24 years of combined teaching and research experience, Dr. Ganesan has established herself as a prominent figure in academia, focusing on advancing technologies that intersect practical applications and innovative solutions. Her career includes guiding research scholars, serving as a reviewer for over 150 papers submitted to reputed publishers and conferences, and acting as an editor and journal ambassador for SCI, Scopus, and Web of Science indexed journals. She holds certifications as a professional reviewer for academic publishers and has delivered keynote speeches at faculty development programs, workshops, and seminars across institutions.
Dr. Ganesan's research specializations encompass Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), deep learning, and data science. She is the Principal Investigator for the SERB-Core Research Grant project (Reference No: CRG/2022/002437), titled 'Indoor and Outdoor Optimal Path Navigator for Visually Challenged People,' which integrates AI, deep learning, cloud computing, and IoT to develop assistive devices for the visually impaired. Her scholarly output includes more than 45 indexed research papers, patents, and book chapters. Notably, she edited the book 'Cognitive Fairness-Aware Techniques for Human-Machine Interface,' published by Chapman & Hall/CRC in 2026, which explores fairness in AI systems through cognitive science, emotional data processing, federated learning, and machine learning.
