Dr. Xiaohan Yu is a Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence in the School of Computing at Macquarie University, where he commenced his appointment in December 2023. Prior to this role, he served as a Research Fellow at the ARC Research Hub for Driving Farming Productivity and Disease Prevention at Griffith University, Australia, following the completion of his doctoral studies at the same institution. His research specializations encompass ultra-fine-grained visual categorization (Ultra-FGVC), smart farming, and automated crop cultivar identification, with a focus on advancing computer vision and artificial intelligence applications. Dr. Yu has established and propelled forward progress in Ultra-FGVC research.
