About Xinan

Xinan Zhang is an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering at the University of Western Australia, specializing in electrical and electronic engineering. He received his BEng degree in Electrical Engineering from Fudan University, China, in 2008, and his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2014. After completing his doctorate, he worked as a research fellow at Nanyang Technological University and the University of New South Wales until 2017. From 2017 to 2019, he served as a Lecturer at Nanyang Technological University. In September 2019, he joined the University of Western Australia as a Senior Lecturer and was subsequently promoted to Associate Professor. He currently teaches courses such as ENSC3016 Power and Machines and ELEC5510 Design and Analysis of Smart Grids and Microgrids.
