Dr Yimei Man is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting in the Department of Accountancy and Finance at the University of Otago's Otago Business School. She holds a BSc from Shandong University, an MSc from the University of Stirling, a PhD from the University of Waikato, and is a Chartered Accountant with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. She joined the department in 2020 and teaches courses such as Advanced Financial Accounting (ACCT315), which develops students' conceptual and technical proficiency in advanced accounting standards and practices.
Her research interests include corporate governance, agency conflicts, earnings management, auditing, board characteristics, firm performance, asset pricing, behavioral accounting, and sustainability.
