Professor Yoko Uchikawa serves as a professor in the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine at Oita University, formerly known as Oita Medical University following its merger. She holds a position in the Fundamental Nursing Science Course within the Basic Nursing Science Area. Notable publications comprise 'Understanding Teamwork and Activating Nursing Teams' (2011, Shunin & Chūkin + Kokoro Support, Vol.20, No.6, pp.18-24). She has presented findings including 'Constituent Elements of Teamwork Competency in Nursing' at the 17th Annual Meeting of the Japan Nursing Management Society in 2013. In her teaching role, she instructs courses such as Nursing Management (including medical safety) and Basic Nursing Practice I. Her professional experience encompasses positions as a nurse, Infection Control Nurse, GRM member in the Medical Safety Management Department at Oita University Affiliated Hospital, Infection Management Nurse Administrator at Oita University Hospital, and Director of the Oita Nursing Center.
