Rate My Professor Yoshihiro Kaneko

Yoshihiro Kaneko served as Associate Professor in the School of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences at Victoria University of Wellington. His work centered on geophysics, with a focus on earthquake source physics, dynamic rupture modeling, slow slip events, and subduction zone processes, particularly along the Hikurangi margin. He supervised doctoral students in geophysics, including those researching adjoint tomography and numerical modeling of fault slip. Kaneko holds an MS (2005) and PhD (2009) in Geophysics from the California Institute of Technology.
