About Yuta

Yuta Fujihashi is a Project Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Graduate School of Science, The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on physical chemistry and quantum optics, with particular emphasis on quantum dynamics, nonlinear optical response, and the use of quantum entangled photons. He earned his Doctor of Science degree from the Graduate School of Science at Nagoya University in March 2014.

Fujihashi previously held a Project Assistant Professor position at the University of Electro-Communications. In 2021, he received the Young Scientist Award from the Physical Society of Japan. His work includes contributions to theoretical studies of time-resolved spectroscopy using quantum entangled light and applications to biological systems, as well as publications on two-dimensional optical spectroscopy with entangled photons. He collaborates on research involving quantum mechanically mixed electronic and vibrational states in photosynthetic energy transfer and related topics in the Journal of Chemical Physics and other journals.
