About Zhenping

Zhenping Wu is a Lecturer in the Department of Physics at the School of Science, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. He holds a PhD and has served as Lecturer at the institution since 2013, following a position as Research Assistant at the University of Hong Kong in 2012.

Wu’s research centers on heterostructures, oxides, and wide bandgap semiconductors, with a particular emphasis on Ga2O3-based optoelectronic devices and solar-blind ultraviolet photodetectors. His work includes studies on oxygen vacancy modulation in β-Ga2O3 photodetectors, fabrication of Ga2O3 thin films via laser MBE, zero-power-consumption solar-blind photodetectors based on β-Ga2O3/NSTO heterojunctions, and enhanced performance in unipolar barrier solar-blind avalanche photodetectors. Key publications include the 2019 review “Review of Ga2O3-based optoelectronic devices” in Materials Today Physics, the 2014 paper “Oxygen vacancy tuned Ohmic-Schottky conversion for enhanced performance in β-Ga2O3 solar-blind ultraviolet photodetectors” in Applied Physics Letters, and the 2014 paper “Fabrication of β-Ga2O3 thin films and solar-blind photodetectors by laser MBE technology” in Optical Materials Express. Wu’s contributions have garnered over 10,000 citations, reflecting significant impact in the field of semiconductor optoelectronics.
