Dr. Zoe Brook is a Senior Professional Practice Fellow in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation, Faculty of Dentistry, at the University of Otago. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Otago and a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Western Australia. According to the University of Otago's 2024 Calendar, she joined the faculty in 2022. As clinical teaching staff in the Bachelor of Dental Surgery programme, Dr. Brook contributes to student clinical experiences, supervision, assessments, facilities, and resources, as documented in the Dental Council of New Zealand's accreditation visit report for the programme. Her qualifications include Te Kāika and BDS CSB.
Born and raised in Dunedin, Dr. Brook completed her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Otago, majoring in Anatomy and minoring in Māori Studies, before moving to Perth, Australia, for her dental training. In private practice, she serves as a General Dental Practitioner at Gardens Dental in Dunedin since January 2024. Dr. Brook is passionate about preventive dentistry, patient education, and helping individuals overcome dental anxiety to improve their oral health, smiles, and confidence. She provides a broad range of treatments in a calm and relaxing atmosphere, with special interests in paediatric dentistry and orthodontics.
