Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Patrols The Ringling's 66 acres of buildings, galleries, and grounds as assigned.
• Monitor visitor activity to ensure:
  • Safety of staff and visitors
  • Adherence to all policies/procedures
  • Protection of the collection, buildings, and grounds while guarding against theft, vandalism, and other damage
  • Briefly answers guest questions with a focus on customer service and creating a welcoming environment for our visitor population.
• Conducts daily inspections of assigned areas and reports:
  • Safety issues
  • Damages or necessary repairs
  • Water intrusion or leaks

As needed:

• Assists with emergency situations by communicating with the appropriate point of contact.
• Escorting staff and guests as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Florida driver's license or the ability to obtain one prior to hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with:

• Customer service and creating a welcoming environment
• Museums or similar non-profit organizations

Ability to:

• Respond calmly to urgent/emergency situations
• Effectively communicate with the public
• Pay attention to surroundings and report issues

Anticipated Salary Range

$15.45 (28 hours a week)

• This role is eligible for a $5 per hour pay additive for working eligible assigned special events.

Working Hours

• This role has a set bi-weekly schedule. Applicants must be available for the schedule as listed below.
  • Week 1: Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Week 2: Friday and Monday from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Thursday from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

Weekends, evenings, and holidays may be required per the needs of the Ringling.
