King’s University College at Western University invites applications for a 2-year Limited Term Appointment in the Department of Childhood and Youth Studies at the rank of Assistant Professor, effective July 1, 2026.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will bring/have a PhD, or be near completion, with research and teaching expertise in childhood studies. In particular, candidates should have a sustained research interest in children’s rights and advocacy with a focus on children’s participation. They should be prepared to teach CYS 2214 “Introduction to Advocacy,” CYS 2221 “International Children’s Rights,” and CYS 3370 “A Right to Play.”
A commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching is expected.
SALARY RANGE
The starting base annual salary (effective May 1, 2026) is $111,334, plus experience increments.
