1. Introduction to the Department
The Peking University Center for Chinese Political Science was established on October 20, 2015. It is a physical research institution of Peking University, mainly engaged in basic research in political science. The founding director of the center is Peking University Chair Professor Yu Keping.
The research center is mainly engaged in basic theoretical research in political science, publishes original high-level research results, and strives to lead domestic political science theory; it undertakes some basic political science courses for undergraduate, master and doctoral students of the School of Government, and offers some courses in political science for the "Joint Training Program of Politics, Law and Society" of Peking University's comprehensive reform of undergraduate education, and trains doctoral and postdoctoral talents in political science; it actively carries out domestic and international cooperation to promote the latest results of Chinese political science research to the world.
The main scientific research work currently carried out by the Research Center includes: conducting creative research in the four major research areas of political philosophy, comparative political systems, history of Chinese political thought and history of foreign political thought, focusing on the large-scale political science basic research project "Political Chronicle" and special research topics such as "Institutions and Habits", "National Governance Modernization Research", and "National Governance and the Rise of Great Powers"; undertaking the daily coordination work of the "National Governance Research Collaborative Network" and the "China Local Government Reform and Innovation Research and Reward Program"; compiling and publishing the academic journal "Political Chronicle", and co-sponsoring the academic journal "Peking University Political Science Review" with the School of Government.

Job Responsibilities
Engage in teaching and research on the basic theories of political science (scholars engaged in algorithmic politics, religious politics, and Chinese political studies are preferred)

1. Applicants must hold a doctorate degree in political science from a major university at home or abroad. Applicants for professorships should be no older than 50 years old; applicants for associate professorships should be no older than 40 years old; applicants for assistant professorships should be no older than 35 years old;
2. Be competent in teaching relevant professional courses and have the ability to teach in foreign languages; have published high-level academic papers and monographs and have the potential to be a leader in the discipline;
3. Physically and mentally healthy, upright, with a positive attitude towards study, good professional ethics and team spirit.
