2026-2027 Professional-Track Faculty - UT School of Social Work
The University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work periodically appoints non-tenure-track, professional-track faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate social work courses. Appointments may be part-time or full-time, depending on instructional needs and course load. While no positions are currently available, the School maintains an active pool of qualified applicants for temporary, part-time instructional opportunities as they arise.
Individuals selected from this pool may be assigned to teach lower- or upper-division undergraduate courses, as well as graduate courses offered during daytime and/or evening hours. Appointments are typically made on a semester-by-semester basis. Renewal is contingent upon departmental need, available funding, and demonstrated successful performance.
Qualifications
Qualifications must be commensurate with rank and include an outstanding academic record. A master's degree in social work or a related field is required; a minimum of two years of post-graduate professional experience is preferred.
Successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and to collaborate with other faculty.
