Advance Announcement of the 4th “Qingbai Forum” for International Young Scholars

I. Forum Overview

To further implement the “Strengthening the University through Talent” strategy and enhance the support of education, science, and technology through talent development, Anhui Agricultural University plans to host the 4th “Qingbai Forum” for International Young Scholars in late December 2025.

The Forum, themed “Young Scholars Gather at AAU, Agriculture IIIuminates a New Chapter”, aims to build an academic exchange platform through keynote speeches, academic discussions, talent recruitment sessions, and cultural experiences. The forum invites outstanding young scholars from home and abroad to gain a deeper understanding of Anhui Province and Anhui Agricultural University, and by joining the University, contribute new and strong momentum to its high-quality development.

II. Eligible Applicants

  1. Applicants should have a strong commitment to China’s higher education, support the leadership of the Communist Party of China, observe laws and regulations, uphold professional ethics, and maintain academic rigor and integrity.
  2. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in an academic field closely aligned with the disciplines of Anhui Agricultural University, and possess a strong record of outstanding academic achievements.

Email Requirements: The CV should include a complete and continuous record of education and work experience; a list of publications (papers, books, etc.); key achievements in teaching and research; and details on research projects, patents, and awards.

IV. Special Notes

  1. The Forum is scheduled to be held in late December 2025. Detailed arrangements will be announced later.
  2. For scholars invited to attend in person, the University will reimburse round-trip travel expenses (both domestic and international) and provide complimentary accommodation and meals.
  3. The travel reimbursement is capped at the following amounts: RMB 1,500 per person for domestic travel, RMB 4,000 per person for participants traveling from the Asia-Pacific region, and RMB 8,000 per person for those traveling from Europe and the Americas.
  4. Invited scholars may prepare an academic presentation in advance, based on their research content and progress. This forum will select a number of excellent reports, issue certificates and provide rewards.

V. Recruitment Positions

Category I Talent

Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences or the Chinese Academy of Engineering, as well as distinguished scholars in the fields of philosophy and social sciences. Candidates in this category should have made systematic and innovative achievements and contributions in their respective disciplines, recognized for their high academic prestige and significant academic influence.

Category II Talent

Leading talents who have made significant achievements in scientific research recognized by international and domestic peers. Candidates should possess the ability to lead their disciplines to catch up with or surpass international advanced standards, demonstrate strong team leadership and organizational skills, and be capable of leading academic teams in collaborative research.

Category III Talent

Young talents who have achieved outstanding academic results in scientific research. Candidates should possess strong team leadership and organizational skills, and have the ability to assist their disciplines in catching up with or maintaining international advanced standards.

Category IV Talent

Young scientific and technological talents who meet one of the following criteria: hold the title of Assistant Professor or above at a renowned overseas university or research institution; hold the title of Associate Professor or above at a renowned domestic university or research institution; or have over 2 years of work experience (including postdoctoral) at a renowned domestic or international university/research institution. The work experience requirement may be waived for candidates who obtained their Ph.D. from a well-known overseas university or for domestic Ph.D. graduates who have received national research funding. Candidates should have produced innovative academic achievements in the past five years that are generally equivalent to or exceed the University’s current criteria for appointment as a Full Professor, and demonstrate the potential to become a leader in their respective research fields.

Category V Talent

Candidates who have more than two years of work experience (including postdoctoral research) at renowned domestic or international universities or research institutions; or professionals holding mid-level technical positions at leading international enterprises, demonstrating strong research capability and technological innovation capacity; or outstanding Ph.D. graduates from top domestic or international universities or research institutes. Academic achievements in the past five years should generally meet or exceed the University’s current criteria for associate professorship.

Talent Categories VI & VII

Outstanding Ph.D. graduates from renowned domestic or international universities/research institutes; or professional and technical talents holding mid-level positions in leading international or domestic enterprises. Candidates should possess a high level of research ability, strong technological innovation or industrial development capabilities, and have achieved high-level performance and results in their respective fields.

Full-time Postdoctoral Researchers

We are sincerely recruiting full-time postdoctoral researchers from home and abroad, affiliated with our 7 postdoctoral research stations: Horticulture, Forestry Engineering, Biology, Crop Science, Animal Husbandry, Ecology, and Plant Protection. Applicants should generally be under 35 years old, demonstrate strong innovation ability and academic potential, and meet the University’s academic requirements for postdoctoral appointments. The typical employment term is three years.
