8-month limited term appointment in Science Education

The Department of Education in the School of Education and Health at Cape Breton University invites applications for a 8-month limited term appointment in Science Education at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (depending on current achieved rank). This position will commence August 17, 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter).

The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive knowledge of science education spanning grades Primary to 12, as this position is situated within the Bachelor of Education program. The successful candidate will have experience working with pre-service teachers and have experience teaching online.

Candidates should have at minimum a master’s degree in a relevant area. A relevant terminal degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) is also an asset.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate potential and commitment with regard to teaching and service to Cape Breton University, community and profession.
