Academic Advisor

Position Summary

Provides academic advising and enrollment support for College of Arts and Sciences students, helping them navigate degree requirements, curriculum planning, and university policies. Supports student success by connecting students with campus resources, assisting with orientation programs, maintaining accurate advising records, and collaborating with faculty, staff, and campus partners. Contributes to student retention efforts and assists with special projects within the CASA office.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three or more years of experience in academic advising in a college or university setting.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in humanities, social sciences, higher education, student affairs, counseling or a related field. Good working knowledge of Banner, MS365, and Starfish.
