Academic Advisor (req34600)
Position Summary
The College of Nursing (CON) at UNM Health Sciences is seeking an Academic Advisor to provide support for the CON advisement office in the delivery of academic advisement to nursing students. Additional duties include reviewing and processing student documentation, triaging incoming calls and other duties related to student advisement. This position will also participate in convocation, orientations and other events. This is a fast-paced environment, which provides professional advisement to a diverse student population. The selected applicant must maintain a primary residence in the Albuquerque area (including surrounding communities such as Rio Rancho, Los Lunas, Belen, Edgewood, and Santa Fe) and be able to reliably commute to the College of Nursing in Albuquerque.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; no previous experience required. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in/with:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated in Resume and Cover Letter
- Data entry and record keeping
- Strong customer service skills
