Academic and Research Data Analyst
Job Summary
Provides data analysis and reporting expertise to support institutional decision-making, research initiatives, and data governance efforts within the College of Engineering. Works closely with data management and AI research teams to ensure high-quality data collection, maintenance, and analysis for academic programs, research funding, and faculty productivity.
Essential Functions
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets academic and research-related data to support both data infrastructure needs and AI-driven research analytics.
- Develop statistical models and predictive analytics to enhance data governance efforts, student enrollment forecasting, and faculty research impact assessment.
- Collaborates with the SalesForce & Data Administration Manager to ensure data accuracy, integration, and consistency across academic, CRM, and research systems.
- Works with the AI research team manager to prepare, clean, and structure data for machine learning models and advanced research analytics.
- Supports evidence-based decision-making by designing and administering surveys, collecting feedback, and generating insights for both academic program evaluation and research development.
- Assists in validating and improving data workflows to enhance the effectiveness of AI-driven insights and reporting mechanisms.
- Responds to ad hoc data requests from institutional leadership, faculty researchers, and data governance committees.
- Monitors and assures the quality of data used for both academic decision-making and AI-driven research applications.
- Provides training and consultation on best practices in data collection, maintenance, and analysis to support broader data strategy efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned to strengthen institutional data capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications
- Level I: Degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Information Systems and 0 Years of experience in the design, analysis, and reporting of data.
- Level II: Degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Information Systems and 2 Years of experience in the design, analysis, and reporting of data.
- Level III: Degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Information Systems and 4 Years of experience in the design, analysis, and reporting of data.
Salary Range
$35,830 - $75,040
