About the Job
As an Academic Developer, your purpose is to champion and elevate the quality of learning, teaching, and assessment across UEL. You will work at the interface of theory and practice, collaborating closely with School Directors of Education and Experience and professional service teams to design, deliver, and evaluate high-impact academic development initiatives. This role is hybrid, with some flexibility, two days on campus per week will be required.
Essential Experience Required
- Higher Education Academic Development: A minimum of 4 years of proven experience within an HE academic development setting, specifically encompassing the end-to-end design, delivery, and evaluation of professional development activities.
- AdvanceHE Professional Recognition: Must hold Senior Fellow (SFHEA) or Principal Fellow (PFHEA) status with AdvanceHE.
- Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL): Demonstrable experience in the effective, strategic application of digital learning technologies.
- Cross-Institutional Collaboration: A track record of working collaboratively across traditional academic schools and professional services.
- Large-Scale Workshop & Event Delivery: Extensive experience designing and facilitating high-impact workshops, training programmes, or large-scale institutional events.
- Agile Project Contribution: Experience contributing to or leading project-based activities with rapidly shifting priorities.
