Departmental Lecturer in English Literature

A 1-year fixed-term teaching and research appointment in English literature, with a core focus on literature in English from 1830-1914, is available for an outstanding academic at an early stage of their career. The appointee will be expected to provide undergraduate and graduate teaching on a range of topics in English language and literature for the English Faculty and Mansfield College, and graduate teaching and supervision on the MSt in English (1830-1914 and/or 1900-present strands) for the Faculty.

You will hold (or be near completion) of a Doctorate level degree in English literature or a related field, and have a proven research and publication record in 19th-century literature (appropriate to your career stage.) Evidence of ability to teach and deliver lectures to undergraduate students at the highest level, in classes and tutorials.
