About the Opportunity

Kalamazoo Valley Community College is hiring a full-time Academic Development and Instructional Technology Analyst to support faculty through innovative teaching technologies, engaging training, and hands-on support.

Specific Responsibilities of this Position Include:

  • Provide support and administration of the College’s Learning Management System (LMS), troubleshoot issues, maintain system functionality and offer best practices to faculty.
  • Provide technical support for faculty on a variety of educational technologies.
  • Design and deliver hands-on training and workshops for faculty on educational technologies.
  • Develop clear, user-friendly guides, tutorials and documentation to support independent learning and adoption.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging educational technology tools that enhance teaching and support accessibility for all learners.
  • Collaborate across departments to inform policy, security and strategy related to instructional technology and faculty development.

Minimum Qualifications:

Appropriate education, training, experience, and talents are required. An example of this would be:

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, education or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in academic technology support, or a similar role.

Demonstrated expertise in the following also required:

  • Administering and supporting a Learning Management System (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard).
  • Designing and facilitating technology training sessions.
  • Online and blended course design.
  • Accessibility best practices.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.

Work Hours: Core business hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
