Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) announces an opportunity to work as a full-time, tenure-track Academic Counselor in LTCCs Student Services Division. Counseling support services are critical in helping students achieve their personal, academic, and career goals. LTCC has established programs and initiatives supporting various groups of students that have and will continue to require greater involvement from the Counseling department. These include: Guided Pathways, Lake Tahoe College Promise, Rising Scholars Program, extended evening hours in the Counseling Department and more.
The Vision 2030 goals established by the California Community College Chancellors Office require more enhanced counselor support. As an institution, LTCC is called to lead with equity and excellence, act with urgency, and serve as a force for economic mobility, environmental stewardship, and community resilience. At the heart of Vision 2030 is a reimagining of access, one that no longer waits for students to come to us. This refresh reaffirms our responsibility to meet learners where they are: through partnerships with community-based organizations, labor, and industry. Our colleges are embedded in communities, honoring learning wherever it occurs: Online, in classrooms, or on the job.
