Academic Lecturer in Food & Beverage / Hospitality Management with Strategic Curricular and Industry Leadership
The LCB Paris invites applications from highly qualified and passionate academic professionals to join its team in a pivotal role that combines academic lecturer in the areas of Food & Beverage /Hospitality management with strategic curricular and industry leadership. As curricular steward for management education, you will help shape the academic experience of the next generation of hospitality and F&B professionals — ensuring that rigorous academic preparation meets real-world industry relevance.
This position reports directly to the Academic Head/Director and plays a central role in the institution's commitment to program excellence, quality assurance, and meaningful student career integration.
YOUR ROLE AT A GLANCE
Your responsibilities will be organized across four interconnected areas, with the following approximate time allocation:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching & Student Mentorship
- Design and deliver senior-level courses in Food & Beverage and/or Hospitality Management
- Develop innovative, industry-relevant course content reflecting current corporate trends
- Provide oversight and guidance for design and deployment of academic projects, professional internship and capstone experiences
- Mentor students for career planning and facilitate student participation in industry competitions, conferences, and corporate events
Curriculum Oversight
- Lead ongoing curriculum review integrating emerging trends, technologies, and best practices
- Develop learning outcomes that balance academic rigor with applied, practical skill development
- Ensure appropriate knowledge progression across levels and alignment with industry standards
- Design assessment frameworks measuring both theoretical and competency-based achievement
- Facilitate faculty coordination to ensure curricular coherence and quality
- Ensure compliance with national quality and certification frameworks, including
Industry Partnership Development
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain strategic relationships with hospitality industry partners (hotels, restaurants, food service organizations, and related businesses) including creating & coordinating an “Industry Advisory Board”.
- Engage partners in the validation and co-construction of learning objectives and competency frameworks
- Lead internship program oversight: placement quality, evaluation standards, and pre/post internship programming
- Represent the institution at corporate events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance employability of students
Career Integration & Student Success
- Oversee career readiness programming, career fairs, employer recruitment activities, and professional development initiatives
- Track and analyze graduate employment outcomes and report on career integration metrics
- Support ongoing alumni engagement to advance career development
WHO YOU ARE
Education
- At minimum a Master's degree in Food & Beverage Management, Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Tourism Management, or a closely related field
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of higher education teaching experience at college/university level
- Curriculum development or academic program management experience
- Demonstrated professional experience in the hospitality industry
- Proven record of building industry partnerships and securing internship placements
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep knowledge of hospitality industry trends, operations, and career pathways
- Established professional network across the hospitality sector
- Expertise in curriculum design, learning outcomes development, and assessment
- Understanding of current and emerging hospitality technologies and practices
- Familiarity with national academic quality assurance frameworks
- Proficiency in educational technology and innovative pedagogical methods
Leadership & Interpersonal Qualities
- Executive presence with the ability to engage and inspire senior industry stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial mindset — proactive in identifying and pursuing partnership opportunities
- Collaborative leadership style with strong cross-departmental coordination skills
- Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
Languages
- English: Excellent written and verbal proficiency (required)
- French: Professional working level (strongly preferred)

WORKING CONDITIONS
