Job Duties:
Contributes to the development, implementation, administration, coordination, and evaluation for one or more academic programs to ensure effectiveness in meeting departmental and student development goals and initiatives. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment. Specifically, this position will lead onboarding of students for the Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) and Physical Therapy (PT) programs, manage affiliation agreements for the CSD and PT programs and lead the day-to-day operations of the CSD internal student training clinic. Duties and Key Job Responsibilities: Contributes to the development, implementation, administration, coordination, and evaluation for multiple academic programs to ensure effectiveness in meeting programs' delivery of clinical education goals. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment. Specifically, this position will lead onboarding of students for the Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) and Physical Therapy (PT) programs, manage affiliation agreements for the CSD and PT programs, and lead the day-to-day operations of the CSD internal student training clinic.

  • Utilizes independent judgement regarding development, implementation, promotion, and evaluation for one or more academic programs, initiatives, or events.
  • Manages communication with internal and external partners to support maintenance of Affiliation Agreements
  • Tracks status of Affiliation Agreements with partner institutions
  • Identifies program, needs, contributes to the development of unit workflows, schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, events, and interviews. Specifically, tasked with:
  • Schedules patient visits to the CSD clinic
  • Maintains regular communication with students preparing for field/clinical placements and/or on field/clinical placements
  • Coordinates program components and evaluates program effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement.
  • Facilitates onboarding of students into field placements, including but not limited to vaccination status, site training requirements, substance testing requirements, etc.
  • Oversees criminal background checks as required by clinical partners.
  • May supervise the day-to-day activities of one or more academic programs and resolves issues exercising discretion to meet unit goals.
  • Performs billing for services for the CSD clinic
  • Manages placement database(s) (e.g, Exxat, CALIPSO), including setting up placement opportunities and assisting clinical instructors with database access.

Part of this role involves supporting an on-campus clinic, so work will be performed on the UW Milwaukee campus on clinic days. Requests for remote work during non-clinic days considered after the initial training period.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Schedules logistics and secures or distributes resources for program meetings, department events, conferences, and travel
  • Performs administrative tasks including telephone customer service, word processing, transcribing, filing, and calendaring
  • Acts as the primary liaison for providers or programs and refers stakeholders to providers, agencies, patients, and staff
  • Assists in coordinating the complex daily activities of providers or program(s) by entering information into databases, maintaining files and materials, and preparing reports
  • Serves as the primary contact and subject matter expert for specified program policies and procedures
  • Coordinates with senior management to define program goals and fiscal objectives
  • Identifies opportunities for program improvements and makes recommendations to the appropriate entities

Compensation: The target hiring range for this position is expected to be $45,000-$52,500. The final offer will be contingent upon the knowledge, skills, and abilities demonstrated throughout the selection process.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products
  • Experience with scheduling work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with billing
  • Experience in academic operations
  • Experience with academic operations platforms such as Workday, Exxat, or other similar software solutions
  • Experience with customer/client support
