Academic Success Coach
Job Summary
The Nursing Academic Success Coach reports Director of Nursing Operations and works with faculty in assisting students to develop personal and academic skills necessary to successfully complete the Bachelor's degree nursing program and the NCLEX-RN licensure exam. The ASC provides personalized guidance and support to meet student needs through engagement, individualized success plans and supportive services aimed at helping students navigate academic challenges.
Responsibilities

Progress Monitoring and Individualized Coaching: Collaborates with unit academic advisors to promote student success through intentional curricular and campus engagement, supporting a strong and sustainable nursing pipeline. Works individually with students to assess strengths and areas for growth, establish academic goals, and develop personalized success care plans by providing guidance in effective learning and study strategies. Supports nursing faculty by designing and delivering subject-specific mentoring and tutoring services to nursing students in both individual and group settings.

Academic Resource Navigation: Guides students and faculty in the effective use of academic learning resources to support remediation efforts and NCLEX-RN preparation. Utilizes student performance data to assist students and faculty in identifying and leveraging appropriate nursing academic support services and educational products aligned with course and program outcomes. Refers students to relevant university resources as needed and monitors ongoing utilization to promote accountability, engagement, and academic progress.

Professional Growth and Development: Supports and advances the college’s mission, vision, and values while maintaining compliance with applicable governmental regulations and accrediting body requirements. Demonstrates current knowledge of evidence-based academic support strategies and student coaching practices through ongoing professional development and engagement in best practices in nursing education. Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience
Previous experience in student success, academic coaching, student advising, health coaching or related roles. Candidates must be proficient in a Windows-based computer environment and have knowledge of healthcare-related technology.
Proposed Salary
Salary is commensurate with experience.
