Faculty appointment with the School of Medicine in the area of Surgery with an emphasis in Acute Care Surgery, Trauma Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care. Incumbent will teach medical students and residents in the classroom, clinic, and operating room.

Participate in surgery related research, clinical trials, and clinical studies. Publish and present data at the regional and national levels.

Serve on hospital, university, and departmental committees as assigned.

Certifications/Licenses:

• Board eligible or board certified in General Surgery and either Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Surgery.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Missouri and Kansas.

Work Experience:

• Completion of fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Surgery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong commitment to the full spectrum of acute care surgery, including trauma, emergency general surgery, and the elective surgical management of complex patients.
• Excellent clinical skills, a collaborative and patient-centered approach to care, and a strong interest in supporting the academic mission of the Department through education, research, and community outreach.
