Job Summary

The ACCESS Technology Program Manager leads statewide technology support for Alabama’s ACCESS K-12 virtual learning program, serving 30,000+ students across 1,600 schools. Oversees multi-tiered technical support systems, data architecture, and analytics platforms to drive performance insights and strategic decisions. Directs innovation initiatives, ensuring accessibility, cybersecurity, and instructional alignment in the K-12 virtual learning environment. Designs and evaluates professional development systems for educators and partners, with a focus on Educational Technology. Coordinates with ALSDE leadership to align technology, support, and communication strategies with statewide goals.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of instructional technology or curriculum development experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of instructional technology or curriculum development experience.

Skills and Knowledge

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with OTIDE, UA institutional and academic units, and Alabama State Department of Education. Ability to plan, develop, and implement team projects. Experience adhering to grant requirements. Knowledge of distance learning technologies and teaching and training methodologies. Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms. Knowledge of learning PowerSchool, Schoology, and data management best practices. Familiarity with IT trends, accessibility standards (W3C), and security best practices. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Experience in coordinating cross-institutional teams and leading collaborative problem-solving efforts. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources efficiently.
