Accessibility Specialist
Position Introduction
The Accessibility and Disability Resource Center is seeking an Accessibility Specialist to support students with disabilities by coordinating accommodations, connecting students with campus resources, and addressing access-related concerns. This role also partners with faculty to help them support the students they teach through effective accommodation practices and collaborative problem-solving. As the ADRC moves through an exciting period of transition, we are eager to meet candidates who are excited to collaborate, bring fresh perspective, and help strengthen accessibility support at OU.
Pay Range: Targeted salary $38,700 annually, based on education and experience.
Benefits Eligible: Yes
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (may include some weekends)
Travel: Not required
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 1 year of related experience
- Equivalency/Substitution: Experience or a combination of education & related experience can be considered in lieu of degree. A one-to-one ratio is used to determine the number of years of experience required in place of a degree.
Department Preferences
- Master's degree
- 24 months of program development, training, and diversity programming experience
- Experience in engagement with advocacy-based and grassroots organizations that serve Higher Education and communities with disabilities or an associated field.
