Faculty & Campus Consultation: Partner with faculty and staff to facilitate accommodations, address implementation barriers, and ensure educational access. Campus Liaison, Committee Work, & Advocacy: Engage with campus partners to provide disability perspectives, elevate access initiatives, and promote universal design. Program Development & Continuous Improvement: Lead or assist in creating OAA initiatives, evaluating technology/practices, and recommending process enhancements. Professional Development & Research: Stay current on legal precedents, ADA compliance, assistive technologies, and emerging best practices in higher education disability services. Support core office operations (including final exam proctoring and administration). Represent OAA at Orientation, Open House, and Commencement events, Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Experience / Education: Must have completed a Master's Degree in a human services field, including social work, counseling, rehabilitation counseling, or a related field. A minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities is required. Preferred Education Skills and Experience: 2-years experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Experience working with individuals with disabilities who are post-high school is preferable; experience working with individuals with disabilities in a higher education setting is highly desirable. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent collaborative, problem-solving, planning and organizational skills necessary. Working knowledge of the ADA and Section 504 as pertains to considering accommodations within a higher education settings. Knowledge of FERPA helpful. Knowledge of assistive technology as accommodations helpful.
