As a doctoral student in accounting, you will have the opportunity to work with internationally known faculty members on a variety of research projects.

Programme Structure
Curriculum:
- A course that is not being offered within a reasonable timeframe, or a course in which a student can demonstrate competence may be, with the approval of the area group and the doctoral team, replaced with another course.
- Area-specific core requirements may be changed subject to the approval of the area group and the Ph.D. team.
- A minimum of 15 courses, plus FIN 901, BUS 902 and BUS 903 are required for the completion of the degree.

General requirements
- A completed KU Graduate Studies application
- Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) Focus Edition scores OR Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores from all international students or from applicants whose native language is not English sent from TOEFL or IELTS. Duolingo scores are not accepted.
- iBT minimum score to apply is 100; IELTS minimum score to apply is 6.5 Total Band and at least 6 in each component (listening, reading writing, and speaking)
- Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate study completed to date
- Three letters of recommendation received directly from the persons writing the letters
- A non-refundable application processing fee of US $65 for domestic applications and $85 for international applicants payable to the University of Kansas
