Essential Job Duties
This position provides fiscal support for the department, largely focused on assisting the faculty and staff with research and Extension grant funding. You will work with the department’s Business Service Coordinator and Student Services Coordinator, focusing on day-to-day financial and procurement operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and university guidelines.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to monitor grant funding to ensure accounts comply with sponsor guidelines and reporting schedules, and are closed out timely
- Provide financial administrative support to primary investigators (PIs), including voucher payments, journal vouchers, review of Pcard transactions, travel authorizations and reimbursements
- Analyze financial data for accuracy, resolve issues, and correct or reverse entries as needed
- Attend departmental, college, and university meetings to stay updated on financial policies and procedures
- Maintain compliance, internal controls, and proper documentation of transactions, providing them to the college Contracts and Grants post-award team as requested
