Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Associate has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, processing local and state vouchers for payment. This is a non-exempt position that reports to LSCPA’s Finance Department.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in a Business-related field (or 3 years of experience in accounts payable)

SALARY: $35,000 - $40,000

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week

Essential Job Functions: Responsible for processing and reconciling invoices and maintaining accurate financial records.

Essential Job Functions: Process and reconcile vendor invoices timely and accurately

Essential Job Functions: Scan, enter, and index invoices into Xtender document management system

Essential Job Functions: Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents

Essential Job Functions: Communicate with vendors to resolve billing issues

Essential Job Functions: Prepare daily bank deposits

Essential Job Functions: Run and processes state interest reports monthly

Essential Job Functions: Open, date, and deliver office mail as back-up when needed

Essential Job Functions: Perform vendor warrant hold checks in USAS

Essential Job Functions: Collect incoming Request to Travel documents and generate approval letters as necessary; review, analyze, and correct employee Travel Reimbursement Vouchers to comply with campus Travel Policy

Working at Lamar State College-Port Arthur Lamar State College - Port Arthur, a member of The Texas State University System, is an open-access, comprehensive public two-year college offering quality and affordable instruction leading to associate degrees and a variety of certificates.
