Under the direction of the Associate Director, the Accounts Payable Manager (Managing Assistant Director 3) is responsible for the management of day-to-day activities performed by the Accounts Payable (AP) unit, including management of the full cycle of vendor payments and leading the AP team. The Accounts Payable Manager ensures the accurate and timely processing of invoices; acts as a liaison with faculty and staff across the university; and enforces internal controls to support financial integrity. This position requires a detail-oriented, highly organized manager experienced in accounting systems and team leadership. The Accounts Payable Manager will play a key role in optimizing processes, supporting audits and contributing to overall financial processes within the Office of General Accounting; and performs related work as required. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in accounts payable processing is required. Experience with accounts payable processing in higher education and/or in a supervisory capacity is preferred. Candidate must have excellent organizational, customer service and time management skills; knowledge of accounts payable practices; the ability to multitask in a fast-paced organization and manage multiple accounts simultaneously; and technical skills with the ability to gain proficiency in the university's financials system.

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Law, the annual salary range for this position is: $80,000 to $90,000.
