Department Information
The Campus Recreation Complex (CRC) is a 300,659 sq. ft. facility located on the West side of campus. The complex is a unique expansion of the existing swimming and diving venue built for the 1996 Olympic Games. Campus Recreation provides a premier recreation fitness center, aquatic center, recreation fields, and leadership challenge course for the Georgia Tech community. We offer programming that includes Intramural Sports, Club Sports, Fitness Instruction and Classes, and Outdoor Recreation.
Job Summary
Assist the Acquisition Support Manager in the coordination and management of purchasing activities for department. Ensure compliance with established Federal, State and Institute policies. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Faculty, staff, vendors and external stakeholders. This position typically will advise and counsel: Faculty, staff, vendors and external stakeholders This position will supervise: NA
Responsibilities
- Job Duty 1 - Process requisitions within the Georgia Tech Procurement system in a timely manner and monitor status to ensure Purchase Orders are released within time-frame to meet project schedules
- Job Duty 2 - Review procurement activity and monitor conformity with best practices and compliance with Federal, State, and Institute policies and procedures
- Job Duty 3 - Monitor department's open commitments and close outstanding balances, as appropriate
- Job Duty 4 - Assist in preparation of documents including bid requirements, scope of work, sole source justification, and price reasonableness for all department's procurement activity
- Job Duty 5 - Conduct data analysis and prepare reports on vendor spend, purchasing trends, etc.
- Job Duty 6 - Liaise with Georgia Tech Purchasing to resolve issues related to departmental purchases
- Job Duty 7 - May oversee travel requests, reimbursements, and expense administration.
- Job Duty 8 - Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Accounting, Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Required Qualifications
Must be willing to work some nights and weekends.
Required Experience
Four to five years of job related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
May require ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance for specific departments; Preferred knowledge and skills associated with this job include: Federal procurement experience and project management skills with an acquisition program
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management

SKILLS
This job requires: Knowledge of State of Georgia / Department Of Administrative Services Purchasing Regulations; project management skills; strong communication, organizational, analytical, presentation, and problem solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; and basic knowledge of office related computer applications.
