Strong candidates will be able to:

- Provide evidence of their commitment to a research career in the field of addiction
- Present a proposal for research that will have an impact on addiction treatment, policy, and/or research
What can I expect from this fellowship?
The SSA is a relatively small Society with staff and trustees that are dedicated to offering the best learning experience, and who take an active interest in the wellbeing and future of fellows.
The fellowship offer includes:
- a salary (typically in the range of £35,000 to £50,000), as well as National Insurance contributions, pension, and other employment-related costs
- research and training costs of up to £30,000
For clinical fellowships, the salary costs will usually be determined by the current pay grade of the applicant. The SSA will pay full salary costs in cases where the applicant continues clinical work for 20% of their fellowship time.
