Position: Adjunct Assistant Professor, ESL/EAP

Work Schedule, Hours per week: Varies depending on department needs.
Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No
Starting Salary Range: AJCR $1,208-$1,344 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary:

Instruct students, part-time, in up to three, multilevel EAP three-credit hour courses: Speaking/Listening, Writing/Grammar, and/or Reading/Vocabulary.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in English, TESOL, Linguistics, Education or a closely-related discipline with a minimum of 18-credit graduate hours in TESL.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching adults English as a Second Language and/or English for Academic Purposes in a classroom setting.
• Prior teaching experience in a higher education academic setting, including but not limited to, the community college level.
• Demonstrated understanding of a commitment to the mission of a comprehensive community college.
• Working knowledge of a learning management system teaching platform (Canvas preferred).
• Demonstrated teaching in various online formats, including but not limited to, synchronous and asynchronous delivery methods.
