Job Details

Seeking adjunct instructors for Fall 2025 to teach in the College’s one-semester first-year seminar core course, Intellectual Foundations. Sections are offered in the fall and spring semester. Ideal candidates will have teaching experience and an academic background in the humanities, arts, social sciences, or related areas.

Candidates must be comfortable leading seminar-style discussions of a variety of religious, philosophical, and literary works. Ideal candidates will be able to assist students in making progress in writing as a process.

The required course readings fall under the three headings that structure the course:

  • Gods & Myths (what is above or beyond humans)
  • Nature & Technology (the material world and how humans interact with it)
  • Justice & Society (humans’ interactions with each other)

Required Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in an appropriate discipline is required; doctoral degree is preferred.
  • Candidates should have relevant or related teaching experience.
