Adjunct Assistant Professor, Nursing
The Nursing Department at Carthage College invites applications for an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Nursing position starting August 15, 2026. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until positions are filled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruction: Teach undergraduate students in skills labs, simulation labs, and clinical organizations.
- Evaluation: Provide both formative (ongoing) and summative (final) student performance reviews.
- Mentorship: Help students connect classroom theory to hands-on clinical practice.
- Development: Guide students in building critical thinking and clinical judgment skills.
- Alignment: Follow the philosophy, mission, and values of the Nursing Department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a relevant field.
- Licensure: Unencumbered Wisconsin RN license and Illinois licensure if needed.
- Clearances: Must pass a criminal history and background check.
- Certifications: Up-to-date CPR certification and required immunizations.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of health assessments, medications, treatments, and diagnoses.
