ADJUNCT - AY26 BIOTECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR

The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is the largest community college district in the United States. It comprises nine colleges serving more than 40 cities in Southern California.

POSITION

The LACCD is accepting applications for Adjunct Biotechnology Instructor positions for the 2026 Academic School Year. Successful candidates will collaborate, communicate, and work with students, staff, faculty, and administrators. Applicants should indicate which of LACCD's colleges they are interested in.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or higher in any biological sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, or engineering AND two (2) years of full-time related professional experience.
• A sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
• Verification of Experience letters required.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT COVID 19 VACCINATION: All employees must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption.

DUTIES

The adjunct instructor should be prepared to teach a range of courses within the Biotechnology Sciences discipline, promoting engaging and inclusive educational environments.

COMPENSATION

The salary schedule for adjunct instructors begins at $86.85 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $20.32 per hour. Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential.
