"Adjunct Certified Nurse Aid Instructor"

Job Description

Vernon College is seeking an adjunct Certified Nurse Aid instructor. Texas Department of Health and Human Services requires the program instructor of the classroom and clinical hours to be a minimum of:

Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse

1. The nurse instructor must have:
2. A minimum of two years nursing experience.
3. A minimum of one year nursing experience in caring for individuals in a long-term care setting,
4. And/or
5. Experience working for hospice and be assigned to residents in long-term care setting
6. And/or
7. Experience working for home health and be assigned to residents in long-term care setting
8. And/or
9. Be an instructor in a school of nursing or for a facility training program in charge of supervising students in long-term care setting.

Teaching experience is preferred.
