Master’s degree in engineering, engineering management,
business administration, or a related discipline
Substantial professional experience in product development,
manufacturing engineering, concurrent engineering, design for
manufacture, or production systems
Demonstrated experience working with multidisciplinary or
cross-functional engineering teams
Experience integrating product-design and manufacturing-process
considerations
Strong written, oral, project-management, and interpersonal
skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience in aerospace, defense, advanced
manufacturing, or another complex engineering industry
- Experience conducting manufacturing-readiness assessments and
addressing production or operational constraints
- Experience evaluating and implementing advanced manufacturing
technologies
- Experience leading industry–university research or
technology-development partnerships
- Previous university teaching experience at the senior
undergraduate or graduate level
- Previous teaching or professional experience in design for
manufacture, concurrent engineering, integrated product
development, or related subjects
- Experience mentoring engineers and managing team-based
innovation projects
- Familiarity with ABET-accredited engineering programs and
engineering-education expectations
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to integrate
engineering, manufacturing, business, and project-management
perspectives and to provide students with practical insight into
the realization of complex products and production systems.

COLLEGE of ENGINEERING & COMPUTING (CEC)
Missouri S&T’s College of Engineering and Computing is the
largest of three colleges at S&T, accounting for approximately
80% of the total enrollment (about 4,500 undergraduates and 800
